Why this name? We decided to retrace the important years in the life of Huguette, my grandmother.
1944, a momentous year, the end of the Second World War. Huguette was 17 years old. PARIS IS LIBERATED! This event brought an end to four years of occupation of French territory.
She tells me that that day was pure euphoria! Everyone was hugging each other, shouting at the top of their lungs, dancing frenetically. An immense joy spilled into the streets of Paris and then onto the roads and towns of France.
